music festival

I visited a music festival, held in a park near Old Street Station last weekend. Enjoying the exciting songs, passinate dances and fantastic instrument solo, i couldn't help thinking about why music festivals in london are more mature than that in beijing. Perhaps, there are two dimensions of reasons.

One part might be their perfect commercial machism. This balances the interests of different parties properiately, including sponsors, sellers, artists and audients. For audients, nothing is better than enjoying festival for free. however, the council needs expense to function the program. Yet, where does the cost come from? It is sponsors and sellers that are responsible for the money. In addition, sponsors gain the oppotunitiy to promote themselves and sellers benefit from retails. Inviting artists seems to be a large deal to pay. Nevertheless, when artists or performance will advise themselves, i have to say, the state have transfered. Specificaly, individuals or clubs acheive reputation, at the same time, audients and the oganiser pay nothing. How subtle it is!

Another more mature section, in my opinion, is the shift between different programs. Obviously, each performance synthesizes two or more types of arts, one of which probabely is right the commen style in adjacent ones. For the reason, the shift becomes more smooth and natural. Take the transition between rap and rock for example. On the one hand, unlike usual black pop rap with regular beats, the rap program combined typical rap with jazz elements. On the other hand, next one, the rock also mixed a little taste of jazz. As a result, audients didn't recognize the gap of two genre, but enjoyed them one by one.

I don't think it is a difficult work to run a music festival even other similar festivals and i believe beijing can do this as good as london did as soon. Just need study...

Michael Jackson and else

Headlines of most media, such as newspapers, magazines and websites, are indulged with the information about Michael Jackson, involving his death, funeral and memorised lifetime.

Though I am not a fan of M.J, I admire and even adove him as an artist. Rewatching 'dangerous' (his representive work) recalled me of the style of space dance, which was created by M.J. I suppose the inspiration might derive from the behavior and guesture of walking on the surface of moon, which is absolutely different from that on the earth under the grivity.

Thus, in the terms of the realationship between technological events and art creativity, former can inspirit latter. Specifically, artists tend to analysize and abstract the value in their eyes from technical events, then transfer or interpret them to art or design. But M.J, there are still other good examples to demonstrate the arguement above. The same as M.J, Louis Vuitton latest posters also elevate the value through inviting three astronauts- buzz aldrin, jim lovell and sally ride, who have witnessed the lunar excursion since the first activity 40 years ago.

Thanks for M.J's contribution again! The world has been conquered by his dance ,his passion and his energy. It is him that relight our flame in our mind, while it was put out by daily life and individual indifference.

Wish you go in peace...
